Health enthusiasts and nutrition experts might swear by Quinoa, Oats, Avocados, Muesli, Couscous and Broccoli these days but most of these foods were not commonly available in the 90s. Only a handful of people were aware of these foods which became common in the dire course of time due to the impact of globalization and marketization. Most of these foods were imported from other countries and it was one of the major reasons why people were not aware of such healthy foods. Here is why some of these foods were not there in the 90s. Now, this is something that most people will be unaware of, but it’s a fruit that grows abundantly in southern India and still it is quite a costly fruit. This fruit is considered a super-food as its rich in monosaturated and polyunsaturated fats along with fibre, potassium, magnesium, vitamin B2, B3 & B6, vitamin C and folate. This fruit was introduced widely in the Indian markets in the 20th century and since then, people have become more aware of this humble fruit.
